Cabot Financial, a UK market leader in debt purchase, is pleased to announce three new key appointments and a senior promotion at its West Malling head office.
The appointments further strengthen the Cabot Financial team during a crucial growth period for the business. Details of the appointments and promotion are outlined below.
Grant Young – Group IT Director
Grant Young is responsible for the strategic development and operational capabilities of all Information Technology solutions used throughout the Cabot Financial Group.
Grant has over 30years experience of working within the IT sector at a senior level. Prior to joining Cabot Financial, Grant was Global Head of Operations and Support at Dunnhumby. During his career Grant has worked at Watson & Phillip, Community Hospitals Group plc, Iron Mountain Europe as Vice President IT delivering IT services on a pan-European basis across 17 countries.
Andy Skilbeck – Collections Strategy Manager
Andy’s role is to maximise the benefits Cabot Financial can gain from their strategies and systems and to enhance and improve existing collections practices.
Andy has 20years credit industry experience with specific collections focus in various Risk Management roles. Prior to joining Cabot Financial, Andy worked for NatWest/ Royal Bank of Scotland, T-Mobile, Cable and Wireless and Barclaycard and therefore has a broad knowledge of a number of different business sectors.
Irene Francis – Project Manager
Irene is responsible for all aspects of Project and Change Management for Cabot Financial UK. Her main duties are to oversee the introduction of a formal project management methodology and to develop an improved testing strategy.
Irene has over 30years cross sector experience, having held a number of senior roles in companies including BT, Charities Aid Foundation and International Financial Data Services.
Promotion – Willem Wellinghoff – Legal Counsel
Willem Wellinghoff has been promoted to the position of Legal Counsel at Cabot Financial and is responsible for all legal and regulatory compliance issues.
Willem is a highly regarded industry figure and regularly participates in and attends industry forums and working parties, including the CSA and DBSG Compliance Working Parties. Willem was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2004 and his main practice field is Consumer Credit, Data Protection and Anti-Money Laundering.
Willem joined the Cabot Group in November 2006 as Assistant Legal Counsel. Prior to joining Cabot Financial, Willem was an in-house lawyer for Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC.
