Chicago – The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) recently reviewed Craneware, Inc.’s Chargemaster Toolkit®, Chargemaster Corporate Toolkit®, Bill Analyzer, Online Reference Toolkit® and Interface Scripting Module as part of the periodic evaluation process necessary to maintain Craneware’s HFMA Peer Reviewed designation. After undergoing the rigorous review, Craneware has once again consistently met “Peer Reviewed by HFMA” standards. Craneware was the first to participate in the Peer Reviewed process.
Craneware’s multiproduct Peer Reviewed offerings include:
Chargemaster Toolkit®, the original chargemaster management solution, is designed to capture legitimate reimbursement by automating chargemaster management processes. It is customizable for organizations from small community hospitals to large healthcare networks. Chargemaster Corporate Toolkit® has the added capability of managing multiple chargemasters, enterprise-wide.
Bill Analyzer improves charge capture processes by identifying lost revenue and categorizing areas of risk resulting in cleaner, more compliant claims.
Online Reference Toolkit® is a Web-based tool for reducing risk by providing access to reference and regulatory resources.
Interface Scripting Module is software for ensuring that items are billed accurately, by automatically uploading chargemaster changes to the patient billing system.
“HFMA is widely respected in the healthcare industry, and its Peer-Review team enables valuable, third-party customer feedback that helps Craneware further validate that its products are meeting customer needs," said Keith Neilson, CEO of Craneware. "Receiving this designation for a seventh consecutive year, something no other company has yet achieved, again underlines Craneware’s market-leading position in providing solutions that improve financial performance, operational efficiency and compliance."
The annual HFMA review process involves collecting feedback from current Craneware users through the distribution of surveys, and Craneware continues to score highly and meet the criteria for a product to display the HFMA Peer Review mark:
- Enhanced productivity for the individual user and for the customer’s organization;
- Ease of installation and use;
- Accuracy and reliability;
- Good value for the price;
- Excellent technical support and customer service; and
- An overall positive rating from reviewers based on a quantitative scale
“For years HFMA members have asked us to identify viable healthcare finance resources and to filter some of the noise in the market place,” says HFMA President and CEO Richard L. Clarke, FHFMA. “We see the new Peer Review Process as a powerful opportunity to do just that."
