Advantage Credit Counseling Service Inc. (Advantage) will receive a $50,000 grant from the Bank of America to help continue its credit counseling services and debt management programs which are dedicated to educating and counseling consumers about budgeting, personal financial management and the responsible use of credit.


Last year, Advantage?s credit counseling services and debt management programs helped over 12,000 individuals experiencing financial difficulties, and has already seen a 10% increase in demand for its services this year.


Advantage President and CEO, Stephen J. Piotrowski praised the move, saying ?This generous grant from the Bank of America will allow Advantage to continue to reach out to those most in need, and will enable us to help even more financially challenged individuals.?


Advantage has nine locations throughout Western and Central Pennsylvania, and is licensed to work in over 20 other states. Programs and services include financial counseling, credit counseling, a wide variety of housing counseling, bankruptcy counseling and education, educational workshops and debt assistance through their debt management program.
