BERLIN, NJ – DialConnection has become a Signatory to the Collection Technology Open Standard (CTOS), a best practices document that defines what it means for collection technology to be open. The Signatory designation indicates that DialConnection supports and adheres to the CTOS.

As espoused by the CTOS, open software protects the rights of software users, enhances innovation, and generally lowers the cost of doing business, as measured in both time and dollars. The CTOS Executive Board, which grants Signatory status, is comprised of leading members of the collection industry.

Michael Vesper, President, said that DialConnection has signed on as Signatory to the CTOS in order to help foster the growth of open collaboration between DialConnection’s technology and its users.

“DialConnection supports open standards architecture and provides its clients with the ability to manage and customize DialConnection’s DialIntelligence Contact Center Solution provided that the client has the technical expertise to make changes.  Becoming a Signatory of the CTOS enforces our belief in freeing clients from the hold that proprietary closed solutions place on organizations.” said Michael Vesper.

The CTOS offers 10 guidelines and specifications that define what it means for collection technology to be open. In brief, the CTOS Board defines software as open when it gives users ample access to their data; easily communicates with other software platforms; and allows for customization by users. To earn Signatory status, a Signatory must agree to support at least seven of the 10 suggested criteria.

“Users don’t want closed proprietary software systems that add costs in dollars and time or stifles innovation,” said JJ Hornblass, a CTOS board member and executive editor of CollectionTechnology.net, from which the CTOS was developed. “They want software that allows them the freedom to pursue their own IT objectives. The CTOS helps foment such software, and we are pleased that DialConnection has joined our effort by becoming a Signatory.”
