Coface Collections North America, Inc. (CCNA) employees are working to make a difference this holiday season. Employees served a traditional Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday, November 21 at the Odyssey House of Louisiana (OHL), a non-profit behavioral health care facility that specializes in addiction recovery. Thirty-six CCNA employees spent the holiday visiting with and serving over 200 OHL staff, in-house residents and their family members a Thanksgiving feast.

“At Odyssey House, we strive to create a safe, home-like environment for our clients so they can fully engage in the treatment process and learn to modify their attitudes and behaviors while being supported by peers and caring professionals,” said Edward Carlson, the CEO of Odyssey House Louisiana. “We are very excited this year to include Coface as part of our extended Odyssey House family. This partnership exemplifies the spirit of Thanksgiving with friends helping friends, families helping families, and communities helping communities.”

The event was spearheaded by the CCNA Outreach Committee (COC), a group of employees dedicated to making a positive impact upon the community through their volunteer service.

“We are receiving more from this experience than we are giving,” said Kevin Nacoste, a CCNA employee and member of the outreach committee.  “It’s truly a blessing to have the opportunity to watch such strong individuals pick themselves back up and start over again.”

The outreach committee is now making preparations for “Brunch with Santa” to benefit local underprivileged children. The brunch is scheduled for Saturday, December 8 at the Sunrise Country Club from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Children under the age of 12 are invited to attend the event which will include pictures with Santa, a reading of The Night Before Christmas and holiday carols performed by the Archbishop Chapelle High School choir. In addition, each child will receive a gift from Santa and his elves.

Organizers are expecting well over one hundred children to attend the brunch, which is made possible through the contributions of CCNA and its employees.

“As part of our company’s core values, CCNA believes it’s crucial to give back to our community,” said Tom Brenan, CCNA President and CEO. “Coface is a worldwide leader in receivables management and more importantly, in customer service. Our employees “walk the walk” in every way.”
