DALLAS – Expanding on its 17-year credit card processing partnership with TNB Card Services, Tarrant County Credit Union of Texas is converting its PIN and signature debit card processing and ATM terminal driving to the credit union-owned processor. TNB will now be the sole card processor for the credit union.
TNB’s debit platform will enhance Tarrant County’s back office operations, allowing it to more effectively handle disputes, settle funds, improve responsiveness to cardholders, and strengthen its fraud management capabilities using neural networking technology. Debit cardholders will also have access to 24/7 call center support. TNB’s ATM terminal driving will allow the credit union to customize its ATMs down to the cardholder level, allowing the ATMs to display information based on a member’s individual profile.
“TNB is a trusted business partner that treats our members well,” said Karen Knight, comptroller for Tarrant County Credit Union. “TNB will reduce the burden of our back office operations and ensure our cardholders are better protected against fraud, which was a major selling point for us. TNB is more proactive than anyone else in the industry when it comes to managing fraud. By consolidating our processing with TNB, all of our card accounts will be monitored through a neural network, so we will be able to do a better job of preventing fraud.”
The $46 million Tarrant County Credit Union was established in 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. The credit union currently has 8,340 members and three branches serving Hurst, Mansfield, and Fort Worth. The credit union will open additional branches in Fort Worth and Arlington later this year.
