In the weirdest sleep-over game ever, Harris Interactive and Credit Karma teamed together to ask people Would You Rather Gain 25 Pounds and Live Debt Free or Maintain Your Current Level of Debt?

(One presumes this was asked before “Light As a Feather, Stiff as a Board” but maybe while someone had hidden Kelsey’s bra in the freezer?)

The results? “Nearly three-quarters of Americans would rather maintain their current debt levels than gain 25 pounds and live debt free.”

This makes little sense on a lot of levels:

1) While nothing may taste as good as being skinny feels — being debt-free frees up a lot of money to lose those gained 25 pounds, no?

2) Aren’t most Americans already gaining 25 pounds on their own anyway — regardless of the debt-free fantasy?

3) The Huffington Post posits that the results point to “the country’s…obsession with body image,” but I’d remind everyone that gravy is the United State’s National Beverage.
