The US Public Interest Research Group, Consumer Federation of America and Consumer Action want Congress to look into the fees charged by banks to merchants running credit card transactions.


The groups claim credit card associations have used misleading and anti-competitive practices that are costly to both consumers and merchants in an effort to increase their profits.
